Israel and Overseas

Israel & Overseas

About
Federation is committed to ensuring that community members have a personal connection to Israel and a shared sense of Jewish peoplehood, both locally and globally. In addition, Federation is committed to addressing the social service needs of impoverished Jews around the world.

The Israel & Overseas Commission seeks to join with other communities through the Federated system to support shared goals relating to Israel and overseas needs through core funding to two international organizations: the Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. IWJ Commission makes the funding recommendations for the Partnership2Gether Program (formerly Partnership 2000), self-directed overseas grants, and Israel scholarship programs.
